All works out for good.

Wow.

It has been... a VERY SIGNIFICANT past few weeks in my life.

or maybe months? I dunno

regardless, I am in a better mood than I've been in for a long while. I even remembered that I had a blog, and that's probably the best part.

(hi, so future me here. I started this post back in May, and uh... I mean, look at the date lmao)

anyways, I would very much like to get into some of the specifics.

first off.

ODYSSI.

the project I was talking about a couple months back (ODYSSI)... IT HAS FINALLY RELEASED! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I worked INSANELY HARD on it, making sure everything was up to par, and I can truly say that it was all worth it!

(Yes, here's the link: https://push.fm/fl/wneup-odyssi)

All the songs have their own distinct sound and style, and they come from many different parts of my life and many creative endeavours I've messed around in throughout my journey as a musician. Despite them being unique, however, they maintain an air of cohesiveness and continuity amongst each other, which I'm very proud of.

I especially took my sweet time with the album's rollout, because the music and the meaning go hand in hand. I started a little series called 'ODYSSI RADIO' where I previewed a couple snippets for ODYSSI, and I recorded a bunch of footage of me just performing and feeling the vibe. I had to do some things outside of my comfort zone (at one point, I had to record outside with cars and people passing by... I looked crazy), but it was honestly for the best, and it was good practice to get myself out there.

Eventually, all the snippets and teasing led to a short film that dove more into the story of ODYSSI, specifically the major character of 'the dock'. I'm not gonna give you any spoilers (naturally) (it feels good to say that about something that I made), but trust me. It's good. Just be of an open mind.

Finally, the album itself released, each song having accompanying visuals on YouTube, ALL UNIQUE. Don't tell anyone, but I was still working on visuals for two songs in particular even AFTER the album had released. (Granted, I was legitimately sick and tired... as in I had the flu, and I was drifting in and out.) I'm planning on dropping some of the new visuals to my Instagram and TikTok accounts to drive more traffic to the album.

And boy, the reception I got after release... I checked my Spotify for Artists app and when I saw that I had gotten 600 STREAMS WHATTTTTT

I STARTED TWEAKING OUT. IT WAS LIKE THE FIRST TIME I TOUCHED ANYTHING OVER $1000

And also hearing everyone talk about their favourite songs from the project and how well I had done overall... It brought tears to my eyes. It made me understand just how much of an impact I could have, and I'm blessed to be in this position. I love creating, and I don't think I'll ever stop. Thanks to everyone who has streamed and will stream ODYSSI. Everyone.

All in all, I'm satisfied with this project, and I definitely will take my time doing something as big as this for next time. Now, I just have to focus on what works for me, and build up on that. That's all I'll say about that for now.

ANYWAYSSSSS

you thought I was done?

NONONOOOOO

Let's talk about math.

Precalculus. Trigonometry.

I had to take this course for college... again. Yes, you heard that right. I failed it the first time I did it. Mainly because I had a nasty habit of uhhhhh... not really doing any of the assignments.

And I'd be willing to bet an arm and a leg that I failed the exam, too.

Not my arm or leg, though.

Anyways, I had another attempt, and I had a singular goal: pass the course this time around. No excuses, no compromises. Pass or else.

So everything was all right for the most part. I was completing assignments, I was understanding the concepts, yadayadayada

However, the exam date started creeping closer and closer, and I knew that I had to lock in. It was about two weeks from the date at that point, so I had ample time to start making preparations.

Did I, though? Good question. The answer you're probably looking for is 'no'. The answer that you'll find is more or less the same.

I waited until a week before the exam to start studying, because I'm pretty sure that's the amount of time that I've always dedicated to pre-exam studying, especially in high school. Nasty habit number 2, I know. Regardless, I started looking over the review papers that our instructor had given to the class.

And I was stuck.

I had the genius idea (ME, it was MY idea) to plug the review papers into ChatGPT and Gemini, alternatively) and let it generate multiple choice questions for me to answer based on the study topics. Then, it would analyze the answer, tell me if I was right or not, and then explain why.

it was working well until I started getting a whole bunch of questions wrong, specifically TRIG-RELATED questions. So I decided to put my focus into those types of questions, pushing and pushing and pushing until I finally got 2 questions right back to back.

"I understand it now," I thought.

I did not, turns out. Those were the only two questions I would get right that night.

Then comes the day of the exam. Needless to say, I tanked the entire thing and won't be able to take the course again until next semester.

Just kidding.

I did surprisingly well. A B+ overall after it was all said and done really brought a smile to my face.

All that to say, the title of the post is very much true, and it's been proven in my life time and time again.

All things do eventually work out for good, no matter how long they'll take to get to that point.

I needed to be reminded of that. I'll try not to forget again.

Anywhos, with all that said (only a few months after I started writing this), what am I up to now?

Welllllllllll I'm kinda sorta on musical hiatus. The reason used to be that I had temporarily lost my passion for music, but now (thankfully), it's just school.

I've dropped a couple singles (both on YT/SC and streaming) but I'm mostly just taking my time. There's a bit more that I'd like to talk about, but I'll just keep that under wraps for now.

And that's been my annual check-in. I think I'm gonna revamp the website a little at some point, since it is lowk kinda getting a bit stale for my taste. Will I do it by this year or next? We'll just have to wait and see :)

Thanks for reading. Take care of yourselves. Love ya!
